MERATH (Middle East Revive & Thrive)
MERATH partners with local churches and organizations in the MENA region to effectively and appropriately respond to urgent needs of the most vulnerable in the context of community, and to facilitate long-term, sustainable change.
Through those partners, MERATH implements relief and development projects for thousands of displaced and vulnerable families in Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq in the following fields :
Basic Needs
Partners provide vulnerable households vital food assistance, needed winter items, health services, and essential products for families, especially with young children.
Education and Child Protection
Partners provide high-quality non-formal education and psychosocial support in a safe protective environment to vulnerable out of school children.
Livelihoods
Partners walk with families and communities move toward a sustainable future through income-generating and recovery programs.
Investment in Partners
Partners are provided resources, training, and on-going support to serve their communities with high standards.
We believe that local faith communities are an integral thread in the fabric of society with a unique capacity for holistic impact, compelled by compassion and deep conviction.
Our relational approach builds off of their existing social and spiritual capital to provide unconditional life-saving assistance and to promote deeply contextualized transformational development while upholding human dignity.
Through trusted relationships, we work towards a vision of wholeness and human flourishing that is free of poverty and oppression. We believe that together, we can revive and thrive!
