Congratulations to BBS Graduates!!

On Friday, June 6th the Beirut Baptist School held commencement exercises for its 57 graduates. The ceremony, held at Beit el Tabib theatre in Beirut, was opened with a prayer by the President of the Supreme Council of Evangelical Churches in Lebanon.

The students put together a video tribute to their parents, where each student of the graduating class gave thanks and shared a personal message to their parents. Student speeches were shared from a representative of each division of studies: class of life sciences, class of general sciences, and class of sociology and economics.

The time came for certificates to be handed out, and families and friends cheered on their loved ones as each student walked across the stage. At the end of the night fireworks and a stage full of celebrating seniors captured this momentous moment in their young lives as they move on to the next stage of pursuing higher education with a solid foundation, academically and spiritually, from BBS.

While one class leaves BBS for the next season of life, another celebrates smaller milestones.  Our younger kindergarten students celebrated a graduation of their own. On June 12th our 5 classes of kindergarten students, 106 in all, held a graduation program. BBS Chaplain Toni Haddad opened with prayer, Principal Pierre Rahal said a few words, and the students performed songs and dances for their parents.

BBS is blessed to educate students in mind and heart from such a young age, and after 12 years it’s a joy to send them off into the world ready to meet the challenges of adulthood ahead of them. BBS alumni have entered all spheres of life and industry in Lebanon, and we are thankful for reminders like graduation ceremonies that help us see the impact this investment makes on future generations that will shape our society.
