Tomás Mackay is the President of the Baptist World Alliance, the organization that brings together 51 million Baptists in 130 countries and territories, where he had previously served for about 30 years in different areas. Tomas was ordained to the pastoral ministry in 1978 and since then has served in that capacity mainly in Argentina, his home country. He earned a Bachelor’s in Theology from the International Baptist Theological Seminary in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a Magister in Divinities and a Doctor of Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, USA. He also taught Systematic Theology and Ethics at the International Baptist Theological Seminary of Buenos Aires for about 40 years.
