The Countdown to Christmas has begun at BCYM. Our team and volunteers have been busy printing, buying, packing and putting the final touches on the Christmas Camp in a Box just in time to distribute to over 1,000 special children across Lebanon.

After much success with the September box, we asked parents and children to give us their feedback on the box and their favorite activities in order for us to improve the Christmas box. Here are a few comments that inspired us to make the Christmas box even better with a larger reach:

“The Jesus Loves me tree is helping me always remember that I have a lot to be thankful for!”

“The box was very beneficial especially since the kids can’t go to Sunday school.”

“Thank you for giving me the opportunity to spend time with my kids. Thank you for thinking about the people who are quarantined.”

“Because of the box, I got to sit with my daughter and watch her express and be thankful to God.”

“Thank you for remembering the children in these tough times.”

The result is a box full of 12 activities that provide spiritual nourishment, creativity and fun to last the whole Christmas season. The activities begin with the story of Christ’s birth and include nativity scene setups, coloring and puzzles to help kids understand and experience the importance of the birth of Jesus Christ. Children will also enjoy plenty of crafts including making their own wreaths, trees and ornaments. Each box includes all materials required to complete the activities in the box. In an effort to make this occasion joyous for the whole family, BCYM also included games and a Christmas Carols CD of songs in both English and Arabic.

Over the course of December, 1000 boxes will be delivered to children in Beirut and across Lebanon through our partner churches and organizations. 500 mini Camp in a Boxes also being distributed through the Christmas project initiative.
