Blessed by His Daily Bread

It’s back to school season! Whether your school is back in session or not, around this time of the year many bright young minds once again head back into the classroom. First-day of school pictures are often posted all over social media and everyone seems to launch into high gear through the fall.

However, some recent events in Beirut have led to a delicate political situation for the start of this academic year. Regardless, I’d like to share with you a story of several victories that the Lord has made possible for a strong school year ahead!

Once a three language school, BBS is now introducing yet a fourth language through the initiation of the first ever Mandarin Clubs offered by selfless volunteer educators who moved to Lebanon just to be with our students!

Also, this year BBS is on track to becoming fully IB-PYP (International Baccalaureate for Primary Years Program). We are proud to have 100 IB-PYP certified educators from Kindergarten through Grade 6.

Speaking of teachers, they have stood out in putting the school on the map this year! Thanks to their efforts, 60% of all teachings are now carried out through e-learning models. By operating a fully functional Sensory Room the school is modelling education as a right for all and adopting new methods to promote inclusion. This is a relaxing environment that helps improve social communication, language, and motor skills. By reducing agitation and anxiety, students can engage at higher levels.

Has the geo-political environment changed? Have our families enjoyed a magical fiscal year? Do our teachers suffer less from the ever-changing economic tides? The answer to all of the above is: NO. However, the Lord has sustained, protected, and blessed us beyond measure with another year to welcome our students who have become family to us. BBS is committed to feeding students’ minds, bodies, and souls with His daily message of love, truth and redemption. This is at the core of our school culture and only sustained by your fervent prayers and support.

Once again, He will be glorified, and together we will send off another generation of BBS graduates armed with the Truth.

BBS is committed to feeding students’ minds, bodies, and souls with His daily message of love, truth and redemption. This is at the core of our school culture and only sustained by your fervent prayers and support.
