There are seasons in ministry where we feel we are not good enough, that things are not under control and that God has forsaken us.
There are seasons in ministry where we feel we are not good enough, that things are not under control and that God has forsaken us.
There are seasons in life that mature us and give us a renewed vision, as we advance from one stage of life to the next. They are known as milestones and are what drive us to continue in life’s exciting journey with so much joy.
Consider how the sower goes about planting seeds in the winter. He patiently and carefully takes care of it and regularly checks for its growth. In a good ground, the roots start to grow deeper, and the stems grow higher as they receive their proper nutrients from the soil, oxygen from the air and sunshine. The waiting is for a season, then harvest time arrives, and with it comes joy and excitement for the sower to gather the fruit of his labor.
We need to rest assured however that after death comes resurrection for those who put their trust in Jesus and in Him only, fully knowing that resurrection is not the end but the beginning of something new: a transformation of individuals and congregations into Christlikeness that leads to restoration of brokenness and decay wherever God’s people are.
God has called various women into ministry in different journeys of life and spheres of society. Whether you are a homemaker, a successful career-woman, a ministry worker, a wife, mother, or grandmother, know that your value is not found in your role but in your identity in Christ as God’s beloved daughter.
A devastating earthquake has rocked Syria and Turkey in the past few weeks, leaving thousands of people dead and injured. With buildings and homes destroyed, countless people became homeless in the cold winter with no refuge.
Throughout the journey of life, we face many challenges, yet we rejoice because we know that God’s grace carries us and His Word guides our steps.
As we draw closer to the end of this year, we can’t but be thankful to God for His goodness and His faithfulness in accompanying our family of ministries all throughout 2022.
In this issue of THIMAR, you will read several stories of people who had faith in God’s faithfulness and provision.
