“And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.”

1 Corinthians 15:17.

With these striking words the apostle Paul reminds us of the crucial importance of Jesus’ resurrection which can be summed up in the following formulas:

No Resurrection = No Life = No Hope = Death is the End = Today does not really matter. OR Resurrection = Life = Hope = Death is Not the End = Today Matters.

In other terms, Easter is not simply a nice motivating story of rebirth and hope, a sort of a Coué Method that helps us go about life, it actually has deep practical implications for us today and tomorrow.

It means that Jesus not only defeated death for himself, but that He defeated it for us as well. It also means that Jesus’ physical resurrection (He was not a spiritual version of Casper) shows us that “matter matters”. It reminds us that the world God created was good and that it is still part of God’s redemptive plan and as His children, we are invited to be part of this plan: “for we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” Ephesians 2:10.

In this newsletter, we would like to share a sample of how our different ministries are helping plant, water and grow seeds of hope in the lives of the communities we serve.

Christ is risen! He is indeed risen!
