Sandra el Hajj
Publishing & Communications Manager
Sandra joined LSESD in November 2021. She has a master’s degree in Translation from USJ and has just submitted her Ph.D. dissertation in Translation Studies that discusses the impact of translation theories on undergraduate training in Lebanese universities. In addition to her 15 years of experience in translation and copywriting, she has been able to build a rewarding career in teaching languages and translation in internationally accredited higher institutions, such as AUB and LAU. She speaks four languages and has worked with local, regional, and international clients on high-scale projects and reputable multinational brands. Driven by her entrepreneurial spirit, she co-founded a translation and copywriting agency, “The Write Solutions”, with a partner and friend, and they run it together. During the pandemic-induced confinement, she felt it was time for a change in her career journey and has recently joined LSESD seeking a new experience in a creative environment with a professional team.
Sandra was born to an actively serving and witnessing Lebanese-Jordanian Christian family. She is an active member in her local church where she is responsible for the Sunday School ministry, leading worship, and helping with whatever tasks she is assigned. She is enthusiastic about serving the Lebanese underprivileged communities and thus volunteers in many non-profit Christian organizations. Sandra is married with two children, Joud and Nour. Spending quality time with her family is paramount to her. She is passionate about internal eco-tourism, listening to music, singing, reading, and writing. She has recently created her own music blog and online presence: “A Life of Praise”, where she shares music videos of old and new Christian hymns and some personal spiritual reflections. Traveling the world remains a project in process!
