“The way of Jesus cannot be imposed or mapped – it requires an active participation in following Jesus as He leads us through sometimes strange and unfamiliar territory, in circumstances that become clear only in hesitations and questionings, in the pauses and reflections where we engage in prayerful conversation with one another and with Him.” – Eugene Peterson, The Jesus Way: A Conversation on the Ways that Jesus Is the Way.

Friends and partners whom I’ve had the privilege of meeting over the years have often heard me refer to LSESD ministries as steps of faith that we took in obedience to His leading. At the beginning of a new year, I invite you to join your voice with ours in prayers of thanksgiving, but also seeking His wisdom and provision as we continue on our mission to empower the Church in the Middle East North Africa, training, equipping and resourcing faithful leaders for effective service; addressing the basic needs of vulnerable individuals and families in a manner that preserves their dignity; and fostering a culture of acceptance and respect for children with learning difficulties, offering quality education opportunities where learning, faith, and practice are integrated.

Thank you and happy new year!
